Employee Assistance Program
The UM System's Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is a confidential, professional service provided to all employees, their families, retirees and organizational work units. The EAP provides a variety of services to help employees influenced by a range of personal concerns or stressors. The EAP also assists work units and the larger organization to improve quality and productivity.
Tuition Assistance
Retirees are eligible for a 100-percent reduction in tuition and fees if you are a retiree who fell into one of the two categories of eligible employees when you were in active service—i.e., if you were a regular employee or fully benefit-eligible academic. For more information, visit the Tuition Assistance webpage.
Area Agencies on Aging Services
As a result of the 1973 amendments to the federal Older Americans Act (OAA), states were required to divide their state into planning and service areas, and to designate Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) to develop and implement programs and services for older persons at the local level.
AAAs provide a number of resources, which may include: legal services, nutrition, in-home services, disease prevention, transportation, tax counseling, and more.
Missouri residents can visit https://health.mo.gov/seniors/aaa/. If you reside in another state, contact your states department of aging or senior services for information on your local Area Agency on Aging.
