eProcurement Requester access allows PeopleSoft users to create both non-catalog and catalog (Show-Me Shop) requisitions. They can also use Manage Requisitions to quickly check on the status of their requisitions and enter Receivers on Purchase Orders.
Step 1: Obtaining eProcurement Access as a Campus/System user
Effective January 2018, the PeopleSoft eProcurement Requester role is obtained through the PeopleSoft Access Request System, or PARS. Work with your Campus Accounting representatives, who will submit the request electronically. You will need to provide Accounting with the user’s name and EmplID for identification. You will also need to inform them of the defaults to be used for that individual – phone number, Ship To Code, MoCode, and PS Account.
Note: Ship To is a required field for Requester setup. If you’re unsure of the code, use this directory of Active Ship To Codes. If the room is not found, contact Training and Support Services and provide them with a building name, room number, department name and complete address. They will create a code for the location needed.
PeopleSoft will automatically route the request to a PARS Approver. Once the PARS Approver has approved the role, the new Requester will be notified directly by email.
The access request may be submitted before or after training, though we recommend submitting prior to training, so that users have the access they need once training is complete.
Step 2: Training Options and Materials
Procurement provides a variety of training methods and tools for the eProcurement process. These various offerings are available to meet the varied needs, interests, and learning preferences of potential users.
On-Line Tutorials – Available 24/7, these tutorials will walk you through steps of each process. We recommend the “Try It” option which provides step by step instructions as you navigate through the process. You may drill through the entire eProcurement process, or view only the topics needed for review and understanding. You will be prompted for your SSO ID/Password for access to view the tutorials and manuals.
Instructor-Led (ILT) Classes – These are one to two hour long hands-on training sessions led by an instructor.
Written Materials – These are available for each role and can provide additional assistance once you’ve been through the tutorials or attended an instructor-led class. Available are Training Manuals (with complete details and screenshots) as well as Quick Reference Guides (simple list of steps).
