Emily Love joined the General Counsel's office in August 2021 after earning her J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law. Prior to joining the General Counsel’s office, Love served as a deputy Title IX Coordinator for the UM System and led a variety of initiatives related to equity, diversity, and inclusion between 2014-2019.
Love graduated from Truman State University (2012) and later earned her MSW from the University of Missouri-Columbia School of Social Work, with an emphasis on policy and administration (2014). In 2019, she was awarded MSW Field Instructor of the Year by the School of Social Work. She is interested in civil rights, employment, and administrative law.
