1. Conflict of Interest Records (Non-Federal Grants)
Records include employee written notices of disclosures, conflict of interest registry, supervisor’s written approval/disapprovals and any other records created to comply with University of Missouri Board of Curators Conflict of Interest Policy 330.015 as related to employee overlapping business activities, authored textbooks or other educational materials, consulting and other employment or outside activities and interest.
Authorized Retention:
Retain for three (3) fiscal years after termination of the conflict of interest, then transfer to Archives.
2. Conflict of Interest Records (Federal Grants)
Records include disclosures of financial interests or other interest of employees who are involved and responsible for conducting, designing, reporting research or educational activities funded by National Science Foundation (NSF), Public Health Service (PHS) or other federal agencies to comply with Executive Guideline 32 and federal requirements. Also, includes records created by the University during institutional review, and management of the conflicts.
Authorized Retention:
Retain for three (3) after the later of the termination or completion of the award for NSF contracts and other federal agency sponsored grants; and final payment for PHS contracts or where applicable, for other time periods as specified in 48 CFR Part 4, subpart 4.7, then transfer to Archives.
